Overview
Bag supporting filter cages designed to maintain filter bag integrity and enhance cleaning efficiency across bag filter and baghouse systems.
Every filter cage is made to the equipment it serves. Diameter, length, wire gauge, the number of vertical wires and ring spacing are all determined by the filter bag, the tube sheet layout and the operating conditions of the collector — there is no standard part number. Send the bag dimensions, an existing cage drawing or a sample cage, and our engineering team will confirm the configuration before quoting.
Cross-section is chosen against the cleaning duty. Round sections are the common general-purpose choice across pulse jet bag filter installations. Star and oval sections increase the effective filtration area within the same housing footprint, which matters where a plant needs additional area without enlarging the baghouse.
Material selection follows the gas stream. Galvanised iron is the usual specification for dry, ambient dust collection. Mild steel with an epoxy or powder coating is used where a harder-wearing surface finish is wanted, and stainless steel is specified for corrosive or higher-temperature duty. The surface finish matters as much as the base metal — a smooth, even coating is what stops the cage abrading the filter bag over its service life.
